Dianna Claxton, a witness who happened to be passing by, immediately recognized the gravity of the situation and sprang into action."When I pulled up to the scene, it was just a very scary scene," Claxton recounted. Claxton reported that at least six people had stopped to help the trapped driver, who was conscious but unable to free herself from the vehicle. "That was very dangerous and scary for that guy who jumped on top of the car that was all smashed up," Claxton said. Using the "jaws of life," the emergency responders were able to extricate the woman from the overturned vehicle."Just the way the car was, it was tipped over onto its driver's side. So, we were trying to help extricate her out," explained Chelmsford Police Officer Aidan Gillis. "The fire department got here, able to use the jaws of life, able to extricate her.
